The main field with its profusion of floral designs is so nicely complimented by the main border enclosed by guard borders. Sarouk rugs are from the village of Saruk about 25 miles north of Arak, in west Persia. Sarouk rugs have been produced for much of the last century. Sarouk’s are normally a very thick and dense heavy rug and are known for their exceptional quality and ability to withstand decades of wear.
