A 1940's hand woven Chinese pictorial rug ,within the central field are various scenes, at the foot of the rug is a bowl of peonies springing from a vase leading up to a water scene that finishes at the top of the rug with a four tier pagoda surrounded in clouds. The wonderful border repeats the peony theme and the two guard borders colorfully finish the pictures off.
