A Shirvan hand woven Caucasian rug circa 1920. These types of antique Caucasian rugs were woven in the eastern part of the region, mostly along the west coast of the Caspian Sea and show in the design, the ethnic style associated with Caucasian pieces. The central field divided into fourteen panels each with a floral design surrounded by a gloriously detailed ivory border to finish the rug off to perfection.
