18th Century Aubusson Style. “The Cherry-Picking” depicts 4 young members of the French upper class society picking cherries at a country villa. A young man throws cherries from a ladder, to two young women, who are catching the cherries in their skirts and a basket. I child playing near buy, foils the group’s efforts by feeding the cherries to a couple of chickens.
