“Verdure” is inspired by the types of tapestries being woven in the 18th century at Aubusson; one of the chief tapestry weaving towns in France. Here we see an idyllic countryside scene with rose bushes and exotic birds against a backdrop of roman aqueducts and a small hillside town.
