A rare an unusual size. This 1940's Persian Rug has a harmony and feel that will add distinction to any room. Kazvin or Gazvin is situated about 100 miles west of Tehran and produced carpets up to around 1950. Normally in room sizes the colors are generally soft with shades of ivory and blue very common. Unusual for a weaving area the rugs of Kazvin can use both Persian and Turkish knots.
