Antique Persian Tabriz Rug circa 1890. The Persian carpet revival began in Tabriz around 1870 and Tabriz carpet merchants were instrumental in the renaissance of the craft throughout Iran. This fine example is an antique circa 1890 hand woven rug with a wonderful open field scattered with floral designs and enclosed within a main border that continues the theme.
