A rare example of an antique cotton Agra rug, finely woven. The soft green field filled to overflowing with flower heads is testament to the skill of the weavers to create this masterpiece. During much of the history of the Mongol Empire, Agra was its capital. Architects and artisans, including many carpet weavers, were brought here from all over the Muslim world to enhance the city`s beauty.
