The central navy medallion and corner spandrels are perfectly placed on the lovely rust colored field. The detailed border and guard borders complete this wonderful picture that the rug creates. Kazvin is 90 miles west of Tehran and produced rugs until the late 1930`s. Unusual for a weaving area the rugs of Kazvin can use both Persian and Turkish knots.
