This is a marvelous example of an antique Agra. Hand woven in the 1880's the color is the typical and famous Agra red surrounded by an intricate green border to create this overall magnificent looking piece.
During much of the history of the Mongol Empire, Agra was its capital city. Agra carpets are fine rugs of the highest quality and highly sort after, by both collectors and designers.
