This wonderful antique Agra has a brown field filled with intricate designs that allow the quality of the weaving to show thru. The main ivory border is itself enclosed by four guard borders that only adds to the intricacy of this superb piece. During much of the history of the Mongol Empire, Agra was its capital. Architects and artisans, including many carpet weavers, were brought here from all over the Muslim world to enhance the city`s beauty.
